The possibilities of using the KANYA aluminum construction system, of which we are the exclusive distributor on the Czech and Slovak markets, are practically unlimited and the customer structure is very diverse. A beautiful reference is the Illustria student rocket project, for whose launch pad and antenna our profiles were used.
About the project
CTU Space Research of the Czech Technical University in Prague is a student team that is developing the largest student rocket in the Czech Republic. It measures over 3.5 meters, weighs over 28 kg and has ambitions to reach a height of 3 kilometers. During October 2023, Czech students participated in the pan-European competition EuROC Eurepean Rocketry Challenge in Portugal.
Developing a rocket is a fast-paced, dynamic process, so the team decided to use aluminum profiles extensively for a variety of tasks. For example, as a base for a hybrid engine. The profiles are also part of the launch pad or the students used it to improve the antenna.
For 2024, the students plan to start with Illustria in the Czech Republic and develop a liquid engine.
