Ventilated facades are already a well-known technology for the general public and are very popular with builders. Exceptional "breathing" facades are suitable for almost every project and the range of cladding on the market is very diverse. Wooden, ceramic, cement-based chipboard or steel ventilated facades are commonly seen. Unusually, the facade cladding can also be a photovoltaic panel, and the result is a vertical photovoltaic power plant. Structures for ventilated facades, including photovoltaic ones, are offered by our ALU division.
What is a ventilated facade?
A ventilated facade is a special type of double-skin facade, which consists of load-bearing walls, a supporting structure and exposed facade panels. The principle of ventilation is to maintain a gap between the perimeter wall and the insulation, which allows air to enter the masonry. It is installed with a certain functional ventilated gap between the object and the facade itself. This is how the building can "breathe" and not let heat out.
The supporting structure is designed to ensure easy installation of cladding facade materials such as cement-chipboard, gypsum fiberboard, fiber-cement and other facade boards based on wood, metal and ceramics. The cladding material can also be photovoltaic panels if the correct procedure is followed.

Photovoltaics as facade cladding
Facade photovoltaic power plants are suitable as an alternative or supplement to roof and ground photovoltaic power plants. The builder will get the necessary energy and at the same time a fresh final appearance of the facade of the house. Installation is very simple, fast and can be carried out at any time of the year. In principle, it is no different from the installation of conventional cladding panels.
Photovoltaic panels can form an outer shell of insulation with a ventilated gap. However, it is important to ensure thorough ventilation of the back side, as this is the only way to cool the panels. It is generally known that in these applications the temperature of the panels is higher than usual, which could lead to a deterioration in their efficiency. Therefore, in this case, a ventilated gap is important to repair.
As with conventional ventilated facades, a high-quality supporting structure, which is the backbone of the entire facade, is very important for photovoltaic ventilated facades.
Construction by WT WINTECH
We have been operating in the market of structures for ventilated facades and solar systems for decades. Our offer includes structures for photovoltaic facades, which consist of aluminum elements of the anchoring system and high-quality stainless steel fasteners. We deliver the structure as a whole very flexibly, because we keep the individual components in stock all year round.
